Postage Price increase
As you are probably all aware there has recently been a substantial increase in Royal Mail postage prices.
After many hours of plugging away on the calculator and several meetings with our accountant we are unfortunately left with no choice but to slightly increase our Royal Mail shipping costs.
Because of these increases to qualify for Free Shipping you must now also spend £75.
We are aware times are hard and the last things you need right now is for your hobby to cost you more, but, this price increase is unfortunately unavoidable.
On a plus side though after negotiations with our courier, UK Mail, we are very happy to be able to let you know there is a reduction in the price for having your items delivered by courier next day. Prices now start at £4.50 for orders under 1kg in weight.
Ordering on a Friday and need your stuff on Saturday? UK Mail can deliver on a Saturday for and extra £3.00 too.
So it's not all bad news ;o)

Sad News For Our Blast Customers
It is with a lump in our throat we have to announce we will be ceasing to stock LRP Blast cars and parts. The blast is a car we have stocked and supported since the shop opened and it's with a tear in our eye we make this decision.
We have decided to do this as the parts supply has become very sporadic with some customers having to wait literally months for parts to come back into stock from LRP. At Freeprawn Racing we pride ourselves on great customer service and we feel we can no longer do this with the blast, hence our sad decision.
We will be contacting all customers with LRP backorders to inform them of this.
On a lighter note though we will be having a LRP Blast sale with 25% off all Blast spares in stock. Get um before there gone :o)
Blackbone Losi 5ive T Gear System
Blackbone, manufacturer of quality steel gear sets for most brands of Largescale cars, are pleased to announce the release in the first week of February of their gear system for the Losi 5ive T.
The 5ive T gear system will be initially only released in a set (later in the month all parts will also be available separately) and the range of gearing options will expand over the coming months too.
Upon release 56 x 21 and 54 x 23 ratios will be available. The set will include a new 'machined from solid steel' clutch bell, pinion and spur gear. You will need to use your standard Losi 19T chassis inserts that came with your car.
Blackbone will be releasing separately later in the month the clutch bell and pinions (18, 19 and 20) separately which can be used with the standard 58T spur gear so you can get rid of the rubbish pressed steel, welded clutch bell that comes with the car!!! Also a full range of pinions will be released for use with the 56 and 54T spur gears to allow a whole range of gear ratios :o)
The Blackbone gear system will cost £99.99 for the complete set. We will only have a limited number of gear sets available initially, so if your interested and want your car to go fast, contact us and preorder a set now to avoid disapointment!!!
We have been having lots of problems with our shop mobile. The network we were on did not have the level of coverage or service that we wanted. This resulted in alot of customers not being able to get through to us, missed calls and dropped conversations.
So we have changed networks to improve this, unfortunately this means we have had to change the shop mobile number.

We unfortunately will not be able to take calls on the old shop mobile number anymore as I threw it at a wall and smashed it into little pieces with a hammer!! Mobile phones are great aren't they!!!!!!
Losi 5ive T Parts Now in Stock
We have just received our first big parts order in from Horizon and now have most of the bits you need to keep your Losi running in stock.
Over the next month we will be significantly be adding to the parts we already have in stock and plan on fully supporting the Losi 5 T. Customers that have previously used us for Punisher/Destroyer spares know we don't mess around when we fully support a car. We will aim to keep all parts in stock for super quick delivery.
We have also started stocking aftermarket parts from other manufactures. We already have parts available from the likes of Turtle Racing, Hostile and Team Chase to name a few.

Savox SV0236MG Heavy Duty Jumbo Metal Geared Servo 40Kg - Now Available!!
It's been a while coming but we now have the new jumbo Savox servos in stock.
We are still investigating and confirming exactly where they will and won't fit as they are larger than the Multiplex Rhino 4/Hitec 5765, but, it looks like they will fit and work great in FG's, HPI Baja's and the new Losi 5ive T.
At £65.99 for a 40Kg Servo from a great manufacturer like Savox we are sure it's going to be on quite a few Xmas lists.

Great news about the bonus points scheme. We have now totally revamped the system. It is now much, much easier to use and now any amount of bonus points can be used to pay or part pay for your order.
You must be registered with the shop to partake in the bonus points scheme. The points are still worth 5p and you earn a bonus point for every whole pound you spend with us.
The old system of redeeming bonus points was very clunky, had too any steps to get your discount, and you needed a massive 250 points to get a discount. These are all the issues that have now been addressed in the new system. It is now simple to pay using points when you check out, just type in how many points you wish to use. You can now use any amount of points to get a discount too :o)

Incidentally no hard and fast news yet but it looks like the Punisher Plus is a much improved, better specification and cheaper FTX Punisher, it will not be similar to the Nutech Thunderbolt 3. It is unclear at the moment if/when we can expect CML to release the new design car based on the Thunderbolt 3.
LRP Have also (at last!!) released Aluminium C Hubs for the S10 Blast series of cars :-

Losi 5ive T Manual Available
The Losi 5ive T Manual is available for viewing / downloading / printing / drooling over, on the Losi website.
It's a big download though at 40.4MB, but if your interested in the car it's well worth a look see :o)
Hitec 5765 MG - Available Now!!!
We are now holding stock of the new Hitec 5765 servo.
We also have limited numbers of 5755 gear sets and 5755/5765 cases if you have any broken servos you want to fix. These cases and gear sets also fit the Multiplex Rhino 4.
Hitec 5765 MG - Available Next Week
We are very pleased to be able to tell you we are taking stock of the new Hitec 7565 servo next week.
This high voltage cousin of our popular HS-5755MG is 2-cell LiPo (7.4V) capable and features heavy duty, metal gears with a 10mm output shaft for the strength you need for the most demanding large scale applications.
It also boasts greatly improved speed and torque at 7.4V, 0.13secs and 25Kg torque. The best bit though is because the circuitry has been beefed up to run at 7.4V it means for us guys that still use 6.0V receiver packs this servo should me much tougher :o)
Also is the same size as the (now discontinued) 5755 and Rhino 4 so upgrading is easy.
FTX Punisher 2 - News Just in
As you may or may not know the FTX Punisher has been out of stock for a while. This is because CML, the distributor, has ordered in a new specification car.
Details of the new car are sparse at the moment still with no definite release date, but, we have sniffed out the first details about the new car and can't wait to tell everyone!!
The FTX Punisher 2 as it will be called will be available with either a Red or Green shell, still with a 2.4GHz Radio, a much needed receiver battery and the best news it will come with a 28cc engine :o)
The amazing news though even with a bigger engine and the receiver battery, the car (at the moment) is set to be £60 cheaper with a RRP of £589.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More details to follow as soon as we find out.
We have just found out today the new savox servos (SAV-SV0236MG + SAV-SV023MG)are bigger than the Hitec 5755/Rhino 4 servo so they are not compatible with most standard car applications unfortunately.
However we believe (although have not had time to test this out yet) this servo will fit in the steering position on the HPI Baja.
New Upgraded FTX Parts & New Savox Servos
We now have in stock some great new upgraded parts for FTX for the Punisher and Destroyer.
The first great new upgrade is to the troublesome Petrol Cap (FTX 7573). FTX have greatly improved this now by fitting a white felt type washer inside to protect the rubber seal. We have tested this cap out and have found it to work much better than the old style with no leaks. Best thing - Same price as the old one £2.99!!!!!
FTX have also improved there Hop Up Airfilter (FTX 7947). This is a new design which is now a foam style filter instead of the old K+N Style one. We have tested this and found it to be much better than the standard CY air filter that comes with the car with a greater protection from fine dust. Best thing - same price as the old version - £21.49
Very exciting news from Savox too.
Savox have just announced the release of two new Large scale steering servos with some pretty amazing specifications. Both can be used with a 2S LiPo (7.4V) battery to make massive torque and fast speeds.
- The SAV-SV0235MG boasts a speed of 0.15 Seconds to move 60˚ and a torque of 35Kg.
- The SAV-SV0236MG boasts a speed of 0.17 Seconds to move 60˚ and a torque of 40Kg.
We are looking forward to trying these bad boys out, almost twice the torque of other available servos are going to make these the ones to have up front doing the steering in your large scale car. Fantastic price too RRP of £69.99 each, Freeprawn Racing price - £65.99 inc. P+P.

The Police are doing there thing, and I'm getting a list together of what has gone amiss. I will post details later today. I will also be posting some CCTV footage of our friends later too as soon as I get clearance from the Police.

Sad to say my shop got broke into last night.
More details to follow still dealing with the Police etc at the moment. Good news is there is some CCTV footage of the people that did this, so I'll be posting that up to to see if anyone recognises the offenders.
Still waiting for the scene of crime team to get here at the moment so I don't have a very detailed list of what has been taken, but after a brief look round the following has been taken. Please keep your eyes peeled, any info will be greatly appriciated.

The F270 is a fantastic engine and develops great power in it's stock form.

Engine is available in complete form, or with some components removed so you get the engine in the configuration you want at the lowest price possible.
